Our Sustainable Future

A global call for ideas from creative thinkers everywhere. Children and young people make one-minute films and posters with ideas that can change the world for the better.

A global call for ideas from creative thinkers everywhere

Our Sustainable Future is a global one-minute film challenge: a stage where the next generation can show their creativity and help us build a better world.

The initiative is built on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the Global Goals or SDGs.

It brings together creativity, ideas, imagination and the Global Goals, and teaches young people to use their creativity on real-world challenges.

Our Sustainable Future is both a school initiative for children aged 9 to 17 and a competition for the creative industries for 18 to 30 year olds. Starting from the Global Goals, we invite children and young people to come up with ideas, or a vision, that can change the world for the better.

On 21 April, the United Nations' World Creativity and Innovation Day, we show the films and posters created around the world. Since 2024 you can also take part with an A1 poster, and the winners are celebrated on the big screen at Grand Teatret in Copenhagen and on stage at the Creative Circle Award.

Age 9-17

School Initiative

For children aged 9 to 17, Our Sustainable Future is a one-minute film challenge. The children work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and creative problem solving, and use their creativity to make films with new ideas and visions that can make a difference and help us reach one or more of the 17 Global Goals.

The focus is on creative thinking and how to tackle real-world challenges. It works well as a school project, ideally over 3 to 5 days, and the films are shown on World Creativity and Innovation Day, 21 April.
